Jealousy and drama has already started on the first episode of Basketball Wives, I have already picked my team. First off, only two out of like eight women
are actually married to a basketball players. My favorite on the show is Royce Reed. Now we’ve all seen the infamous video of Royce dancing at Ludacris party, but out of all the women she seems the most genuine. Granted she’s a little old to be gyrating
at a rappers party, but in her defense, she is a dancer. She just needs a little Jesus in her life, and she will be redeemed.
The other women Evelyn Lozada (Antoine Walker ex-finace) & Jennifer Williams (Eric Williams’ soon to be ex-wife) come across fake, and I ain’t saying they’re gold-diggers, wait, yes I am. That’s exactly what I’m saying, but at least their also business owners. In this video Evelyn is talking to Royce crazy like she’s a child, in hopes of a snob intervention
The first installment of Shaq’s new show aired last night, and so far people don’t sound happy with it. The biggest criticism is that it would be more aptly titled ‘Basketball Ex-Girlfriends,’ because only 1 out of 5 of the women featured on the show has actually been married to an NBA player.
The show focuses on a group of women who have in some way been romantically linked to pro basketball players. They now frequent the high-end social circles and events that the VIP life has to offer. You may recognize some of their names—especially Royce Reed’s, who is Dwight Howard’s baby momma, and was on the receiving end of a lawsuit he filed claiming she ‘damaged his image.’
One of the lesser-known stars of ‘Basketball Wives’ is Suzie Ketcham. She is Michael Olowokondi’s ex-girlfriend. Prior to their split, she and Michael had two children together. They dated for nearly a decade, which gave Suzie a formal education in the good life. She now uses those skills to work her way into exclusive parties, where she rubs elbows with celebs and pro-athletes on a regular basis.
I’m guessing the show will be filled with a good dose of one-upmanship. You know, who’s the richest, prettiest, and has the newest Coach purse. I guess it already got a little catty on the very first episode.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, the ladies were at a party in Miami hosted by TO and Ludacris. It sounds like a few of the cast mates grew a little jealous of all the attention that Royce Reed was getting as she paraded around the pool “gyrating” too much. Evelyn Lozada simply said “It looks bad.” Yeah, we know what that means.
If you missed the first episode, you can tune in on Sunday nights at 10PM for more madness.
