The 2010 Masters tournament is now underway in Augusta! Many golf fans are anticipating today's tee off from pro golfing superstar Tiger Woods. Tiger is scheduled for a tee off later this evening in the 2010 Masters tournament, but
that's all that'll be shown. ESPN has been granted access to the tee off for Tiger, but after that his Masters coverage will be limited. Tiger will be seen via highlights and "break-ins" from ESPN Sportscenter and the like. Currently the Masters leaderboard doesn't have Woods name on it, because he hasn't started yet. As for Masters coverage and the Masters TV schedule, games will be broadcast between ESPN, CBS and on the Sirius/XM Satellite radio. The Masters TV schedule for Friday, April 9th will begin at 1:00 p.m. PST (4:00 p.m. EST) on ESPN. They will re-show it at 5:00 p.m. PST (8:00 p.m. EST) for those viewers who have to work during the day. It could also provide a nice chance to catch up on some of the coverage that took place but was missed earlier in the second round. The coverage will also be presented in HD on ESPN's HD Network, and even on 3-D for those that have the capabilities.
CBS takes over The Masters TV schedule on Saturday, beginning at 12:30 p.m. PST (3:30 p.m. EST). They will cover the third round on Saturday, and then also the fourth round on Sunday, April 11th beginning at 11:00 a.m. PST (2:00 p.m. EST).
Keep in mind that some golfers will have already been on the course by the time rounds start on television. For instance, Fred Couples take to the course at 9:40 a.m. on Friday, well before the first footage makes its way on to CBS. With Fred Couples leading, Phil Mickelson only one shot back, and Tiger Woods only two shots back, the final three rounds of the 2010 Masters Golf Tournament should be pretty exciting.
