The mother of actor Corey Haim confirmed to Access Hollywood Thursday that the 38-year-old former child star died of pulmonary congestion. Judy Haim — who has
spent the last year battling breast cancer — told the newsmagazine she received an early courtesy call from the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office today and was told that a preliminary autopsy revealed that Corey had an enlarged heart, causing his
lungs to fill with water and leading to his death in the family’s L.A. apartment early Wednesday morning.Corey Haim's mother Judy has confirmed that her son died from pulmonary congestion.
Judy said she received an early courtesy call from the LA County Coroner's Office and was told that the autopsy revealed Corey had an enlarged heart and his lungs filled with water.
The Coroner's Office also stated that the four prescription bottles were taken from Corey's room and his mother and manager said those were the only ones he was taking. The Corner has yet to confirm if those medications were found in his body.
