No. 9 seed Bethel owns the most current titles (three) of any current team in the 2010 field
POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. – (Complete Bracket PDF) (Press Book PDF) The 19th Annual NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball National Championship is set to begin on Wednesday and feature 31 games ending on March 16. College of the Ozarks (Mo.) hosts for the 11th straight season from Point Lookout, Mo. Thirty-teams will compete for the National Championship title, to be determined on March 16 at 7 p.m. CST, televised live on CBS College Sports.
Starting with 8:30 a.m. games the first four days and ending with near midnight tip-off times, teams have to win five games to be crowned National Champion. Sioux Falls (S.D.) and No. 16 Grand View (Iowa) lead off the event with the early game on Wednesday. For ticket information, call 417-335-NAIA. The College of the Ozarks in Missouri is hosting the NAIA Men’s Division II basketball championships for the 11th consecutive year. The tournament runs from Wednesday March 10th – Tuesday March 16th, with a starting field of 30 teams.
Top ranked Walsh (Ohio) finished with a 28-2 record, and was ranked 1 in division II for the last three weeks of the season. They are early favorites in the tournament, but the field is pretty wide open. Another widely liked team is defending champion and 6th ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan.
The host team, College of the Ozarks, is making its 11th straight tournament appearance to go along with its 11th straight year of hosting. It should be a very entertaining tounrament, with the national championship game beinghelp Tuesday March 16th and televised on CBS.
