In a disgusting yet riveting affair for all who witnessed it, Jonathan ‘Super’ Squibb successfully defended his Wing Bowl crown in 2010.
The Wing Bowl, which is hosted by AM 610, WIP, in Philadelphia every year, is a competition based on which man can consume the most chicken wings over a span of 30 minutes.
Super Squibb Wins Wing Bowl 2010
In this year’s contest, Jonathan ‘Super’ Squibb ate an amazingly revolting 238 wings over just 30 minutes. For people who statistics, this means that Super Squibb ate slightly fewer than 8 wings per minute. Put another way, it means that he ate each wing in about 7 and a half seconds.
In the classic Philadelphia affair, Super Squibb edged out Not Rich, who ate a paltry 145 wings during the allotted time span.
While Super Squibb’s mark of 238 wings is certainly enviable (to some sick and twisted individuals), it was not good enough to draw the envy of one Joey Chestnut, who still holds the crown for most wings consumed during a Wing Bowl. Several years ago, Mr. Chestnut ate 241 wings, just three more than Super Squibb.
The Wing Bowl does not have any affiliation with the Super Bowl, which is a professional sporting event that will be held this Sunday between athletes who do not normally compete in competitive eating contests (as far as we, the general public, know).
