Passenger upset about emergency response to crash Full Video

Verona Hall who was among the 145 crash victims said the passengers never received help until about 20 minutes after the crash.

But even then she said security
and other airport personnel did not respond appropriately to the emergency.

"They, they didn't have a clue what to do! They were clueless about what to do! It is very obvious that there is absolutely no emergency plan at this airport. If more people had life threatening injuries and could have been saved, they would be dead.

Fortunately God protected us on the flight that more people did not have life threatening (injuries) and this need to be fixed! It's a disgrace that there is no emergency plan. They just had us walking around, nobody knew what to do," Hall said in an interview at Norman Manley Airport that was aired on TVJ last night.

However airport officials say emergency response teams were at the crash site within two minutes of the accident.

"As you would imagine in a case like that, passengers themselves would be a little put off by the incident. What I can confirm is that the emergency response crew from the airport responded immediately, along with fire personnel, police officers, nurses etc," Mark Williams from the Airport Authority of Jamaica (AAJ) said.
